Extensive knowledge is Baumgartenss term for the knowledge produced by the senses. He thinks beauty forms the perfection of extensive knowledge. This knowledge is extensively clear and wealthy, and is distinguished from the discursive--intensively clear--knowledge of science. Cf. overdetermination.© Rob van Gerwen
