11 June 2001: PhD degree, Utrecht University. Title of PhD-dissertation: "Stir in Stillness. A Study in the Foundations of Equilibrium Statistical Mechanics". Supervisors: Prof.dr. D.G.B.J. Dieks (promotor) and dr. J.B.M. Uffink (co-promotor).
